New layout ...

I had a difficult time with this layout - it was a "recipe" challenge where it calls for specific items (like a recipe) - and one of the items was "1 unique frame (no squares, no rectangles, no circles)" - no matter how hard I tried, I could not come up with something "unique" - I tried designs, brackets, all kinds of things, and nothing was working. So I decided to try the "cookie cutter" tool in PhotoShop, and I suppose it really has NO frame, but I think it's at least "unique." I completely deleted everything on my layout several times and started over, one time as late as this morning and it was due today! I'm still not completely happy with the way it turned out, but I had to get it finished and submitted. The "Not Too Shabby" kit is new (this week) and I really wanted to use it, but I'm thinking I should have used it when I wasn't rushed to finish so I could let it "speak" to me better. The alpha that came with the kit wouldn't work at all with the kit, and I tried a zillion different alphas before using the one I did, and it has little pink flowers and nowhere on the layout is there pink, so I really wasn't pleased with that, but oh, well, it's done, it's over, so I should be happy with it, right???? After all, I couldn't have asked for better smiles!!!

I created this layout using Stacey's (www.scrapthatidea.com) "Not Too Shabby" kit, along with some elements (some recolored) from Stacey's "Owl Always Love You" (alpha also) and the collab kit by all the ladies at Scrap That Idea called "Get Happy"
